There is an interesting conference in Manchester this coming September
On the 7th and 8th of September, the Institute of Place Management is holding its conference at Manchester Metropolitan University. The theme of the conference is Inclusive Placemaking and, in keeping with previous conferences, it has attracted the brightest and best academics and practitioners as well as inspiring presenters - such as Ethan Kent, from the Project for Public Spaces. This year we are also holding special tracks - to support the growing communities of interest in place making from museums and other anchor institutions, Business Improvement Districts and place marketers.
One of my favourite Online projects is featuring in the conference agenda.
The Project for Public Spaces is a place of illumination and inspiration for people who are interested in 'their place'.
